Engineer Biotechnology / Microbial Culture Manager (m/f/d) To support our sunliquid® production plant, located in Straubing, Germany The Engineer Biotechnology / Microbial Culture Manager (m/f/d) manages all activities related to the production and supply chain for starter cultures for sunliquid® production plants. Further responsibilities include quality assurance, compliance with legal framework and documentation as well as to manage the interface between R&D, Operations and customer in order to increase efficiency of sunliquid® production processes. Manage starter culture production and supply chain Production of microbial cryo cultures for production plants Quality control and management (inhouse and 3rd party) Execute / monitor Continuous Improvement Programs in costs, performance, quality, safety (KPI improvement) Responsible for GMO compliance (BBS) Ensure efficient, safe and timely delivery Ensures compliance with international legal regulations as well as compliance with Clariant policies regarding safety and environmental aspects Initiate and perform risk analysis and safeguard implementation Plan, manage and ensure efficient staff allocation Manage, motivate and develop employees in line with the management principles of the company Ensure know how exchange with R&D / Demonstration Plant to ensure performance of sunliquid© production plants Support the development of the sunliquid© process in coordination with colleagues from the other disciplines Bachelor or master’s degree in biotechnology, biology or bioprocess engineering Preferably first years of relevant work experience in fermentation and biochemistry, quality management and laboratory Understand starter culture production principles, qualification methods and Innovation workflow to foster on time project deliveries Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and perform in a multi-cultural international work environment Strong people leadership skills and strong team-work approach Fluent German & English is mandatory for this position Dynamic, sense of agility, team oriented Work with a company driven by a culture of ground-breaking innovation Highly interesting, versatile and challenging work environment A corporate culture based on the spirit of innovation Opportunity to shape our future organisation and influence the continued growth and success of the company Attractive renumeration and employee benefits Future career growth opportunities
